Dnata Cargo, with more than 50 years of experience, has been fundamental in establishing Dubai International as a freight hub, listed in the top 20 of the world rankings in cargo traffic.
With a 1000-strong workforce, it processes more than 1.5 million tons of freight every year at its cargo terminals at Dubai International airport and Jebel Ali Free Zone.
FreightGate-1, the centre of operations at the airport’s Cargo Village, is the largest air cargo facility in the region with 4,500 storage positions able to hold 350,000 tons. Its state-of-the-art facilities, including hydraulic powered docks and scanning systems, enable it to manage the freight of 105 carriers.
FreightGate-2, with a capacity of 50,000 tons, supports the import and export requirements of more than 20 express and courier companies, including DHL and FedEx.
FreightGate-3 and 4, based at Dubai Airport freezone, are dedicated charter terminals for freighter operators.
FreightGate-5 offers streamlined import and export services with a capacity of 350,000 tons and boasts Dubai’s first fully-automated air cargo storage and retrieval system.
In addition, FreightGate-6, also based at Dubai Cargo Village, provides specialised services for all perishable cargo, while FreightGate-7 offers the full gamut of off-airport services to more than 6,500 Jebel Ali Freezone companies.
Within Dnata Cargo is the Dnata Cargo Planning division, which provides world-class consultancy services to air cargo terminal handlers and various other businesses in the air freight industry. The division also extends its services to other business units in the Emirates Group, including the various ground handling companies which operate under Dnata International.
