Emirates Hotels & Resorts
Emirates Hotels & Resorts is the premier hospitality management arm of Emirates airline which boasts a portfolio of award-winning luxury conservation-based resorts, five-star city hotels and spas.
It is a part of Emirates’ Destination and Leisure Management Division and focuses on supporting, managing and driving conservation work in its destinations, through sustainable development and the preservation of species.
Opened in 1999, Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa supports the protection and conservation of endangered species in their natural environment.
Recreating a Bedouin encampment spread across the dunes, the exclusive resort has 42 individual suites, each with its own private pool, while the secluded haven is also home to the largest private collection of Arabian antiques and arts and crafts in the Gulf, as well as herds of Arabian oryx and Domani gazelle.
The same philosophy is followed at the other two Emirates Hotels & Resorts conservation-based properties - Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa in Australia’s Blue Mountains, scheduled to open in October 2009, and at Cap Ternay Resort & Spa on the island of Mahe in the Seychelles, which is currently in the planning stages.
Wolgan Valley forms the centrepiece for unique experiences and insights into Australia’s wildlife, history and cultural heritage, and offers the ultimate experience in seclusion, comfort and guest-focused services, all within conservation-based luxury.
Sponsored by Emirates, the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve and the Wolgan Valley Wildlife Conservancy, where Al Maha and Wolgan Valley are respectively located, also fall under the management of Emirates Hotels & Resorts.
The Harbour Hotel & Residence at Dubai Marina opened in 2007 and like Al Maha, and Wolgan Valley, features Emirates Hotels and Resorts’ premium spa brand, Timeless Spa.
