Major player in the restaurant and bar industry

ELR has strong interests in establishing, managing and franchising a wide portfolio of restaurants, cafes bars and leisure facilities in the UAE, Oman and Australia.

It has established a reputation for successfully integrating international concepts into the local culture and growing them rapidly, while at the same time preserving the quality and integrity of the brand.

ELR operates more than 76 Costa coffee outlets in the UAE. It has also developed several home-grown concepts, including Après, Hey Pesto, Deli Express, Bedouinn’s Bistro & The Retreat, Good To Go and Left Bank. In addition, it runs franchises of the Noodle House.

ELR recently expanded operations into Australia, where it now runs 68 Hudson’s Coffee outlets in addition to franchising another 30 outlets to local operators. ELR has also introduced Left Bank to Melbourne, as well as bespoke concept Edna’s Table.

The business was a part of MMI until 2007 when its leisure operations were divested to create a new company, branded ELR, which is a fully-fledged subsidiary of the Emirates Group.
