Emirates Aviation College
Emirates Aviation College is a state-of-the-art education and training facility which gives graduates a proven platform to launch successful careers in the airline industry.
The college opened in 1991, offering a diverse range of professional vocational training programmes. Since then, the curriculum has grown in line with the UAE’s booming economy and burgeoning aerospace and tourism industries.
More than 1700 aerospace engineers and technicians and 2000 air traffic controllers have graduated from the college, while the number of full-time students has increased from 300 to 1100 during the past five years.
Although multicultural, with students of more than 35 different nationalities enrolled, the college is a major contributor to the UAE’s drive in the career development of its young nationals.
The college is licenced by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, as well as the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority. In addition, it is a branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics and an Edexcel (UK) approved centre.
Launched in 2004, its academic programmes cater for high school graduates aiming to obtain qualifications accredited by the UAE education authorities.
As well as vocational programmes, the college also has a post-graduate unit which, in association with the UK’s Coventry University, offers distinctive MBA programmes for professionals within the aviation industry, as well as other fields.
