Abdulaziz Al Ali

Abdulaziz Al Ali was recruited by Emirates in 1986 and since then he been instrumental in the recruitment and training of others, from the handful of workers who got the airline off the ground to the people who helped build a colossal organisation which now employs more than 57,000 workers.
In his current role, he is responsible for developing effective training procedures for new employees and ensuring workers adhere to company policies, procedures and rules.
Prior to becoming Executive Vice President Human Resources in 2003, Mr Al Ali had been Director of Human Resources since 2002 and Head of Human Resources since 2000.
He joined the company as a management trainee and became Assistant to the Company Secretary in 1988. Two years later he was appointed Central Services Manager before being appointed Recruitment Manager in 1991. The following year he was promoted to Personnel Manager, a role he held for eight years.
Abdulaziz Al Ali graduated with a BA Honours degree in Mathematics from Colchester University, England, in 1983 and earned a post graduate degree MSc in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA, in 1986.
